Trail Rides Providing your own horses, you can ride out of the RV Park onto the high mesa - Overlook the bird refuge and watch the snow geese land or the Sandhill Cranes feeding. Chances are you will see the red-tail hawks and maybe a bald eagle in the window. The views are awesome, great footing and wonderful vistas. Within twenty minutes hauling, you can ride the base of Ladron Mountain to the west, south San Lorenzo Canyon awaits you with walls of Red Rock towering up on all sides. Twenty minutes east, there is Sand Canyon with Bighorn Sheep, Window Rock and trains in the distance. These rides will take you anywhere from 2 1/2 hours to 8 hours. If you call in advance, I would be glad to accompany you free of charge with the exception of the gas for the stock trailer. The riding is endless; where the coyotes abound and mountain blue birds fly.
